Locally owned, family run

Your neighbors, in Marshall.

For 25 plus years we have been the one-stop shop for Southwest Minnesota's pets and livestock, knowing our customers and their animals by name.

Since the '90s, right here on Hwy 59.

Our Story
Theresa, owner of Animal Health Center and Pet Resort Theresa. Owner. Usually chatting with customers.

One roof for the whole barnyard.

Animal Health Center started with a simple idea and evolved into more than that. The folks of SW Minnesota should not need to make multiple stops to have access to what they need for their pets and livestock. So we put it all under one roof. A full retail pet and livestock store, a pet resort for boarding and daycare, and on staff grooming.

I started here years before I ever owned the place. Back in 2000, to be exact. In 2020, I purchased the store I already loved from Dr. Mike Healy, and not much changed because it didn't need to. We added the boarding kennel to fill a need in the community, but we still kept it local, friendly, and ready for animals big and small.

We still know your dog by name. We remember the heifer you had last year that won the county fair. And we will always support you, your families, and the Marshall community that we love to be a part of.

The people behind the counter

Meet the team.

Around here everyone comes with a sidekick. Almost every face on the team is happiest with an animal nearby, whether it is their own pet, a daycare regular, or one of the store cats, so that is how you will meet us.

Besides working and chasing her 3 kids around, all her downtime goes to sewing and quilting.

On-call Veterinarian

The calm hand behind the counter when a producer walks in with a real question. A University of Minnesota grad (1992) with a large animal focus, Dr. Scott has kept area herds healthy for decades and has pretty much seen it all. Wondering about a prescription product or a VFD? Track him down. He would rather talk it through than have you guess.
